Emiko Yonesaki, 89, passed away on February 9, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born on May 29, 1930 to Shuyei and Uto Higa in Pepe'ekeo, Hawaii. Emiko was devoted to her family, friends, and members of the Palolo Kwannon Temple. She is survived by sons Kerwyn (Charlyn) and Darryl (Sandra); daughters Brenda (Lawrence) Sakamoto of Los Angeles, Naomi (Dan) Riley of Arkansas, Midori "Mimi" (Arlene Carvalho) Yonesaki, and Mari (Summer) Yonesaki; daughters-in-law Christine Yonesaki and Carol Kekaualua; 14 grand- children; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel (Nobu) Kamiyama, of Los Angeles; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Francis Masatsugu Yonesaki; her sons, Jensen Teruya and Ronnie Yonesaki; sisters Betsy (Edward) Maehara, Edith Toguchi, Nora (Fred) Eisenhart, and brother Ichiro (June) Higa. The family would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Palolo Chinese Home and St. Francis Hospice for the loving care she received during the months that she resided there. Services will be held at Hosoi Garden Mortuary on Monday, March 2. Visitation at 5pm, services will begin at 6pm. Private burial. No flowers. Casual attire.

Seiichi Miyasato
95, of Honolulu, an Army veteran and retired utilities mechanic for the U.S. Army, Fort Shafter, passed away on November 4, 2019 at Oahu Care Facility. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by daughters, Joan Miyasato, Iris (Wesley) Arisue and Irene (Nelson) Shigano; sister, Mildred Miyasato; and by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Private services were held.
Edith I Tak Lum
Edith went to be with the Lord on January 30th, peacefully from her home, at the age of 86. She was born in Hong Kong on Jan. 8th. Her father was Leung Bing Sing and her mother was Tong Suke Fong. She is survived by her daughter, Wendy and their loyal German Shepherd, Bella. She now joins her husband of 64 years, Henry DC Lum and is celebrating in heaven with her new life with Jesus! Edith was a gentle, loving and generous soul. She was a faithful member of Makiki Christian Church for 35 years. She would help to prepare the luncheons on Thursdays for the volunteers and was an active member of the church with her family. Edith worked at Outrigger Canoe Club as a cook, with her specialty making soups from scratch, for 20 years. After retiring, Edith loved to travel, garden, play Mah Jongg and volunteer to help the church. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. Service will be at Makiki Christian Church on Friday, February 28th at 6:00 p.m. Visitation at 5:00. Aloha attire and no flowers. Private burial.

Eugene Satomi Mukai, of Kailua, a retired CPA, passed away at Islands Hospice surrounded by family. He was the loving husband of Ethel Sueko Mukai, formerly Yoda (deceased). He was born in Honolulu and practiced in both Honolulu (Mukai, Fo and Morikawa) and in Kailua. He is survived by his brother's Bill and Eddie and his sister's Jean Tokita and Elaine Shinsato. Services will be held at Hosoi Garden Mortuary on Friday March 6, 2020. Visitation is at 5pm, Services start at 6pm. Aloha attire. No Flowers.

70, of Honolulu, HI, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2020, with friends and family at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents Hiroshi and Florence, and his brother Stephen.
