Florence Mitsuko Yasuda

98, passed away peacefully at home on September 2, 2017. Born on September 18, 1918 to Manzo and Shizue Ikeda in Honolulu, she was the last survivor of 10 siblings. She attended Likelike Elementary School, Kalakaua Intermediate School and McKinley High School Class of 1937. She was employed by Dole Pineapple Cannery as a packer for 30 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Tadashi. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Eve Yasuda Farrells (Jim) of Minnesota, son, Ronald H. Yasuda (Janet Pappas), four grandsons, Timothy and Matthew Farrells, Jon and Troy Yasuda. Funeral services will be held at Hosoi Garden Mortuary on September 25, Monday, visitation at 5:00 pm, services at 6:00pm. Burial services will be held at Punchbowl Veterans Cemetery on October 2, at 2:00pm.

98 of Honolulu passed away August 19, 2017. She was born in Honolulu and a retired barber. She is survived by sons Harry (Joan), Paul, and Arthur (Beverly); Brother George Kaisan, Sister Nancy Shigaki; granddaughters Pamela, Jennifer (Jim), and April; grandson Dustin; great-grand- daughter Adeline. Private services were held.

Myra Oyadomari

t is with great sadness that the family of Myra Eiko Oyadomari announces her passing, on Sat., Aug. 12, 2017. Myra was 56 yrs old. Myra will be lovingly remembered by sisters Gail Oyadomari & Cheryl (Craig) Nakagawa, brother Nelson (Kay Mukaigawa) Oyadomari, and aunty Shimayo "Joyce" Uno, and nieces Justine & Jenna Nakagawa. Myra is reunited with dad George, and mom Mieno "Alice". Myra will also be fondly remembered by her co-workers downtown, as well as the numerous shops, and eatery owners and staff that Myra and Gail patronized, as they made her way down Bishop Street to work every morning. A Funeral Service in memory of Myra will be held on Wed., Sept. 27 at 6:00 pm, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Visitation is at 5:00 p.m. The family asks for no flowers, and those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Myra to Special Olympics Hawaii, P.O. Box 3295, Honolulu, HI 96801.

55 of Honolulu, born on December 11, 1961. 1979 Graduate from Kaiser High. Auto Mechanic for Hawaii Kai Chevron and a Generator Mechanic for Generators Hawaii Dean S.H. Pak, Inc. dba Infinity Electric/Premier Construction. Survived by Mother, Mitzi and brothers, Andrew and Michael. Proverbs 11:25 Celebration of life will be held Saturday (9/16) 11 AM at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; visitation 10 AM.

Masuko Soneda

86, was born in Puunene, Maui on September 23, 1930, to Kazutomo and Toshimi Shimazu, and was the fifth of seven children. She attended Baldwin High School and the University of Hawaii. She taught briefly on the island of Molokai before marrying the love of her life, Shinji Soneda. They settled in Cincinnati, Ohio, where Shinji worked as a civil engineer and Masuko made a home for their growing family. In 1956, Shinji and Masuko moved back to Hawaii with their two sons, Brian and Alan, who were soon joined by daughters Cynthia and Janice. Once the children were older, Masuko took a job as a library assistant at Aina Haina Library where she worked for many years. After retiring, she volunteered regularly at Kaimuki Library. Masuko loved books and instilled that sense of discovery and joy through reading in her children. After a brief illness, Masuko passed away on August 18, 2017 at Palolo Chinese Home. She will be remembered for her patience, kindness and beautiful smile. Masuko is survived by her sisters Fumie Shimazu (Honolulu) and Sadako Young (San Jose), children Brian Soneda (Burlington, WA), Alan Soneda (El Cerrito, CA) and Janice Saiki (San Ramon, CA) and eight grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Shinji, and daughter, Cynthia Timtim Soneda. There will be a private ceremony at Punchbowl Cemetery.

Paul Yoshikazu Matsuda

Aka "Paulie" to good friends, passed away peacefully on August 26. Just 68 years old, Paul is a graduate of Hilo High School Class of 1967. Paul was born August 10, 1949 to Seiichi and Totsue Matsuda (deceased). Paul is survived by son Joshua Matsuda, stepson Jesse Suderman, "Sweetheart" Valerie Fugere, goddaughter Keren Siket, sister Jean Young (Robert), nieces Joy Champaloux and Jodie Young. Paul is the Founder and President of The Service Group Inc., a food brokerage company formed in 1979. Devoted Father, partner, businessman, friend, brother, uncle, he is dearly missed. Paul was a friend and teacher to all reminding us what was most important in life. Paul would always say: "Two H's - Healthy and Happy". Services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Hosoi Mortuary in Honolulu. Visitation starts at 3:00 pm, Services start at 4:00 pm. No flowers please. Aloha attire.

66, of Kaneohe, a retired ship scheduler for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, passed away on September 5, 2017 at Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by his wife, Faye; daughter, Amber Suzuki; mother, Futae; and sister, April Suzuki. Visitation is at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. The service is at 12:00 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
