84, of Kaneohe, an Air Force veteran and retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Services, passed away on February 6, 2020 at Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Koolaupoko. He is survived by two nieces. Visitation is at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Service begins at 6:00 p.m. The nieces are requesting no monetary gifts or flowers. He is survived by his wife, Yoshiko; children, Irene (David) Suzuki, Kenneth (Denise) Kobashigawa, and Nancy Visitacion; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; service 6:00 p.m.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and retired as a 1st Sergeant; a proud member of the Korean War Veterans Association, and a retired correctional officer for the State of Hawaii, Public Safety Department, Corrections Division. He is survived by his wife, Katherine and daughter, Erika. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; service of celebration at 11:00 a.m. Committal service with military honors and inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. James “Jimmy” Noboru Uyeunten

75, of Honolulu, passed away on January 27, 2020. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on November 6, 1944. He worked for Hawaiian airlines for 53 years in numerous positions, most recently as a chief cargo agent. He is survived by brothers, Richard (Sandra) and Edwin; sister, Sharen; aunty, Fumiko Nakano; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special thank you to Barbara & Paul Ichinose & family who lovingly cared for "Jimmy" like their own family. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Hosoi Garden & Mortuary. Born Nov. 4, 1950 in Honolulu to Aketo and Betty Jane Komenaga died Jan. 24, 2020 at home. Sue is a graduate of Kaimuki High and UH Manoa. Her career at UH and the State Dept. of Agriculture spanned 30 years. Predeceased by brother Jack, Sue is survived by husband Melvin, son Jon (Tricia), daughter Brooke (Rocky) Araki and three grandchildren.
