Born in Lihue, Kauai, he was a retired office machine repairman for Alexander Brothers; a member of Company F, 442nd Regimental Combat Team, and a recipient of the Bronze Star and Congressional Gold Medal. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Nishimura Murashige, he is survived by his daughters, Kim (Glen) Murashige Kajiyama and JoAnn (Martin) Murashige Gronberg; grand- children, Jennifer (Dustin) Monroy, Nicky (Jimmy) Kajiyama Charos, Richard and Alec Gronberg; great- grandchildren, Leah Monroy and Riley Charos.
