Ronald Masashi Shishido
Ronald Masashi Shishido, 80, passed away on September 25, 2017. He was born on May 14, 1937 in Hilo to Masao and Chiyoko Shishido. He graduated from Kaimuki High School and served as an aircraft mechanic in the United States Air Force. He worked at GTE Hawaiian Tel as a PBX Installer and then later as an Installation Supervisor. After retiring from GTE Hawaiian Tel, Ronald worked at Aloha Airlines as a Contract Service employee. Ronald was a Century Plus Donor for the Hawaii Blood Bank. Ronald is survived by his wife, Alice; sons Darry (Lori) and Blaine (Melissa); 4 grandchildren, Christian, Taylor, Ty, and Trey. A memorial service celebrating Ronald's life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary at 30 North Kukui Street in downtown Honolulu. Visitation is at 9:00 am. Service is at 10:00 am with refreshments to follow. Casual attire and no flowers please.

78, of Honolulu, passed away on October 14, 2017. He was born Jan. 17, 1939 to John and Doris Imamura. He retired as Project Manager with SC Pacific Corp. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; son, Allen (Kelsi); daughters, Chantel (Jason Oh) and Lore'al (Aaron Pule); six grandchildren, Katin, Metta, Aiden, Isaako, Titan and Raydn; brother, Robert (Katina) and sister, Susan (Charles Yoshioka). Ernest Masato Yasuda
80, of Aiea passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 4, 2017. Retired aircraft electrician and world traveler. Survived by wife, Joan; daughter, Dr. Joy Lynn Yasuda (Eric) Tanigawa and beloved grandchildren, Tenley and Rand Tanigawa; sister, Ellen and his dog, Umi. He loved his family very much and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. We are honoring Ernest wishes with a private service to be held at a later date at the National Cemetery of the Pacific. Roy Nobuji Niimi
Roy Nobuji Niimi MD, 78. Born April 21, 1939. Died October 16, 2017, with his loving wife of 54 years, Oleta, and his four children by his side. He died in Honolulu, Hawaii. Roy was a pediatric doctor with a MD from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. After his internship at St Francis Hospital in Honolulu, he served in the United States Army from 1967-70, first as a medical adviser and liaison with MILPHAP, Vietnam, with the Navy and also with the civilian Vietnamese doctors; and then at Fort Meade, Maryland. He did his pediatric residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center from 1970 to 1973 and was certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1974 before joining the medical practice at Kalihi Medical Center from 1974 to 1997. He opened a private practice in Aiea from 1997 to 2014. He was a member of the American Medical Association, the Hawaii Medical Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He served as an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics with the University of Hawaii School of Medicine; as chairman of the former Medical Management Committee of the Pacific Medical Administrative Group (PMAG); and as an Executive Committee member of both the Hawaii Chapter American Academy of Pediatrics and Kauikeolani Children's Hospital. He is survived by his wife, two brothers, two sisters, four children and six grandchildren; preceded in death by two sisters. Roy was a quiet and dignified man, who enjoyed tennis, golfing and fishing. He was respected by those who knew him and will be sorely missed. A private service was held. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
