95, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2017. She was born on August 4, 1922 in Honohina on the Big Island of Hawaii. Helen worked as a stenographer at the State Hospital. She was a devoted wife, mother, grand- mother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Teruo Yoshida, brother, James Hirata and his wife, Bertha, and brother in law, Hisami Fujita. She is survived by her daughter Colleen (Richard) Smith, and three sons: Stephen (Lorrine) Yoshida, Ronald (Dona) Yoshida, and Dean (Glory) Yoshida; Nine Grandchildren; Four Great-Grandchildren; sisters: Chieko Fujita, Mildred (Charles) Nakamura; and brother: Minoru (Margaret) Hirata. Private services were held at Parker United Methodist Church.

Jeffrey “Jeff” Hiroshi Henmi
January 31, 1957-July13, 2017 60, passed away at home with his loving family at his side. Jeff was born in Honolulu to James and Tsurue "Lori" Henmi (both deceased). He grew up in Manoa valley and attended Manoa, Stevenson and Roosevelt High School(Class of 1975). He graduated from UH Manoa with a degree in Economics. Jeff worked in the Real Estate Appraisal field for more than 30 years, starting with the Real Property Tax Division for the City & County of Honolulu and as a Residential Appraiser for Yamaguchi & Yamaguchi, Bank of America and J. Michael Chun & Co. After his dad's passing, Jeff assumed the day to day operations of Henmi Apartments, Inc. and also as caregiver to mom and guardian to brother Daniel. With help of friend and broker, Ron Lee of Real Estate, Inc., Jeff began a second career as a Realtor. He also pursued and obtained licensure as a Real Estate Agent for ADG Realty in the state of Nevada. While Jeff was loved and respected by his family and extended family members, the true testament to his kindness, generosity and loyalty was the outpouring of love and care shown by his life long friends and the new ones he made along the way. Jeff is survived by his wife and best friend, Georgette; sons Paul (Malia) and Colin Medeiros (of MN), Drew (Sandra) Henmi and daughter Kelli (Chris Hayama) Henmi; granddaughters, Jordan, Bailey, Cameron and Payton Medeiros (of MN); grandson Kevin Hayama; sister Irene (Yoshi) Otake; brother Daniel and the entire extended Nahina family. Visitation at Hosoi Mortuary, Saturday August 26, 2017 at 3 p.m. with service to follow at 4 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
